IPL 2021 auction Live update: more than 1000 players registered for IPL 2021 auction

IPL 2021 auction live update: In the IPL Player Auctions to be held on February 18, 1097 players (814 Indians and 283 foreign players) have registered. The remaining 61 will look for the remaining spots. The IPL franchise will rain 196.6 Cr to buy these 61 lucky cricketers.

The IPL franchises have already retained 139 players for 483.39 Cr. You can see the complete list of players registered for the IPL auction. The auction will begin at 3 pm.

Joe Root and Mitchell Starc missed the auction, nominations of Arjun Tendulkar and Sreesanth – England captain Joe Root, who scored a century in his 100th Test in the first Test against India and so will Mitchell Starc.

Price list of players in IPL 2021

  • Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Colin Ingram, Mark Wood and Moin Ali all presented themselves with a base price of Rs 2 crore.
  • Former Chennai Super Kings players Kedar Jadhav and Harbhajan Singh have registered a base price of Rs 2 crore.
  • Mujib ur Rehman, Alex Carey, Nathan Culper-Nile, Jhe Richardson, Mitchell Swapson, Tom Curren, Lewis Gregory, Alex Hales, Adam Leith, Adil Rashid and David Wiley – on the list for 1.5 crores.
  • Shakib Al Hasan is one of the 11 players to be listed at the highest base price of INR 2 crores.
  • Aaron Finch, Umesh Yadav, Hanuma Vihari, Maranus Labuschagne and Sheldon Cottrell have listed their base price at INR 1 Crore.
  • Dawood Malan, the No.1 ranked T20 batsman, has also registered himself for the auction for 1.5 crores.

The list of players includes 207 capped, 863 uncapped and 27 associate players. The detailed list is as follows: –

Uncapped Indian players who have played at least 1 IPL match (50 players)
Overseas uncapped players who have played at least 1 IPL match (2 players)
Unused Indians (743 players)
Uncapped International Players: 68

If each franchise has a maximum of 25 players in their squad, then 61 players will be taken up for auction (up to 22 of which can be foreign players).
